Emmett’s Day Out

Emmet 5Emmett awoke early to find himself invisible so he figured he’d go to the girls’ college upstate. The prospect filled him with animal lust as he kicked his pajamas to the corner of his containment unit. A simple matter, he reasoned, to quit the grounds, being invisible and all. Some rats, some peckerheads, tipped off security, though. How else to explain inviso-scanners? In short order, Emmett found himself in the chief nurse’s office and from thence back into his unit. Peckerheads! Around about noon, his visibility restored, his humor improved, he was drawn cafeteria-ward by the smell of hot lunch.

  1. The post in July immediately interested me in what was happening with this fellow. I would be more likely to read further to discover the spiritual message if that is your plan.

    • Hi, Michelle. Sorry it’s taken my so long to respond. I’ve been working on totally revamping the blog. I haven’t checked the old site for a long time. This was my first attempt at flash fiction. It wasn’t going to go any farther. But maybe I should turn it into a short story
